How Does Your Garden Grow?

Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary

Restoring your favorite all time guitar does not mean putting it away in a closet, or stashing it away in your collection of once was. Instead, let's transform it into something else. This is a process we take quite seriously by visually bring it back to life again. In this photograph we have displayed one of our late favorite’s in our flower garden. later after the Summer season is over it will hang on the wall. It is designed in the color scheme that will match the decor of the room. This area gets a lot of sun where a variety of plants live in harmony to grow and prosper during the Winter months. The room also has round crystal prisms that hang from the frames of the windows creating numerous rainbow effects that bounce all over the room. It is truly a magical place where it is warm, full of light, cozy and colorful.

Those of you who are stricken with SAD Syndrome will find having a room like this will help keep the blues away by getting through the Winter months gracefully. These restored guitars can be made to match any concept or theme in any room in your home. If you have something in mind then we will work with you to create it. Afterall think of it this way you're a very important ingredient in making this old twin flame your newest renewed love!

If you are interested in this concept please don't hesitate to contact us. We would be more than happy to work with you.

2017 TCM Festival

In November of 2016, Jeff and I decided to go to the annual TCM 2017 film festival "Make em Laugh" held in LA, CA. Jeff has been a Back Lot member and devoted fan of TCM for many years. He has always wanted to go to the festival and meet & greet many of his favorite celebrities. One of which was the late Robert Jolin Osborne an American actor, film historian, television presenter, and author. Jeff was deeply saddened by the passing of Robert just before the April festival.

We planned the trip according to all the hopes and wishes we both shared never visiting out West let alone southern California. We wanted it to be a once in a lifetime memorable trip. We decided to fly from Manchester NH out to Chicago and take the Southwest Chief Amtrak three day train ride to LA.

We highly suggest this three-day train ride through five states it was one of the most interesting and adventurist aspects of the trip. The transformation between the scenic outdoor vegetation, beautiful scenery of each of the five states and the climate changes is what makes this adventure such a unique experience. Socializing and meeting new people was another interesting part of this trip.

On the third day, we landed in LA on time. It was sunny, dry and eighty-one degrees with swaying palm trees and heavenly fragrant flowers everywhere. When you live in northern NH and in the Northeast dry versus humidity. Dry is exactly what the doctor has ordered for years regarding both our bodies and now we know why! We also understand why so many people seek to live in sunny southern CA.

Our hotel was situated in Burbank and it wasn't too far from where all the festivities were going to take place. We were so excited to be there that we were overwhelmed with happiness and joy! We couldn't believe we had traveled clear across the country.

Out itinerary was jam-packed for the next three days. First, we were going to Opening Night to walk the red carpet and attend the premiere showing of "In The Heat Of The Night" with Sydney Portier, Rod Stiger, and Lee Grant. We arrived as a couple in the 1940's this was the era we felt an affinity for. We were also a bit too early to mingle with all the celebrities as they arrived late. We took the corner to walk the red carpet and there were photographers to the left and in front a team from TCM interviewing. There was no way out of it the TCM interview team caught us and wanted to talk. I believe during this interview a series of photos were taken of us. We entered the original Grauman's Chinese Theater and took our seats. We got a chance to see all kinds of people enter the theater best of all was watching the celebrities, actors, directors, and producers affiliated with the film and their guests take their seats. To see them in person is a whole different experience it is truly exciting.

We partook in every conceivable interview with host Ben Mienckowitz and the different celebrities, walked around town sightseeing on Hollywood Blv., carefully chose what movies we wanted to see, and met and conversed with lots of devoted fans from all over the country. If you are a devoted TCM fan or just becoming a new member of TCM I highly suggest planning this trip it is truly a lifetime memorable experience.

It wasn't until late September when TCM began advertising "Let's Movie." They began showing coverage of the 2017 film festival, that is when we first saw ourselves in a one-second clip with many others. They shot much coverage and at different angles. The biggest surprise was the latest ones that were longer and covered more of the festival. We are the opening couple on one of the "Let's Movie" advertisements and everytime they show it we just look into each other's eyes and say do you believe that?

Happy Holidays everyone from Jeff G. Hayford & Donna J. Massa the 40's couple from Turner Classic Movies 2017..

Criminal At The Helm

Trump’s Ivory White Illegal Tower Of Power

You Can't Fix Stupid. If ignorance is bliss, Donald Trump surely is among the happiest beings in existence, living on stolen ground, that is. With illegible scribbles he highhandedly signed proof that he pictures himself above the law and/or is unaware that religious and ethnic discrimination is unconstitutional. If he can stand the sight of himself long enough to shave, it should be clear to him by now that he's the product of both bad breeding and past IMMIGRATION. The only residents of the United States that rightfully could decide who may be allowed on - or kicked off our soil are those that are 100% Native American. They alone live on this land by right of birth, without a family history of invasion, slavery or our Founding Fathers gift of immigration rights.

So Mr. Trump, keep this in mind before opening your vile, loud mouth with claims about illegal immigrants, or to the leaders of all countries you wish to cast from your dark realm, alienate or separate us from. Or about women's rights you wish to ignore, at least try to think about your own existence before using your poor pathetic penmanship for bills that are destructive, discriminating, insensitive and in-compassionate as you look down upon the little people.

Mr Trump, if you ever have the opportunity to stare into a rare pair of dark Native American eyes, beg them to accept you within a Chief's circle, smoke a Peace Pipe to connect with them on a spiritual level. Perhaps after you connect with these noble people you'll realize how insignificant this whole issue is with Immigration. You will quickly be silenced realizing you truly have no damn right to claim who should live on this land, once you hear their stories...

Forever Missed

The Loss Of A True Father

Unlike the majority of his predecessors and for many reasons, some that are clear to all and others that only time and history will reveal, President Obama can truly be called “The Father Of Our Nation.” During his tenure, in the face of unprecedented hatred and opposition, he has proved to be a unique leader, protector, provider, defender, guardian and an unwavering dedicated servant to all the people of our nation. Sadly, he is now leaving us as president and in all probability many who never believed in him will miss him even more than his most ardent supporters. It has been a long time since I’ve seen such a unique man and president leave an indelible imprint on Americans as well as so many from around the world. The torches dropped by Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. are no longer lying on the ground, abandoned like the dream. President Obama set such high standards as a humanitarian and strong leader it will be impossible for anyone to fill his shoes, let alone walk in his footsteps. If there was ever a time when our Constitution needed amending regarding presidential terms, we’re facing it now.

A decision needs to be made by the majority of citizens and following in true democratic fashion our representatives in government should take a close look at the facts and take action to protect the fate and well-being of all humanity. At a crucial period in political history this would send a message to the world and perhaps be the saving grace for our country and the world. I’m truly frightened and deeply concerned by the outcome of the last election. If there was ever a time and need to change the face of our politics, it is here and now. The world is watching, waiting to see how far and how fast this great nation can fall - after eight years of an epic upward climb to new heights and standards, rather than continuing to soar we’ve now been stranded, dangling from the edge of a cliff…
